Do you have to do a first look? Absolutely not. Your wedding day will fly by faster than you think, so we want to enjoy every single moment and capture as much of it as we can! Many couples are now choosing to do a first look. But what if you don´t want to see your fiance before the ceremony? If you prefer to wait to see your fiance until you walk down the aisle, there are a few ways to have that special moment together without actually seeing each other! Here are 3 ways to share a moment before your wedding ceremony without doing an actual first look.
First Touch

A first touch is when you and your fiance will get together before the wedding ceremony, but you won´t see each other. You still get additional photos from the wedding day that you otherwise would not have, but you get to keep the tradition of not seeing each other until you walk down the aisle. For this option, you want to find a spot at your venue where you both can stand close together but not see each other. A professional photographer will be able to find the perfect location for you!
Private Gift Giving
Purchasing a special gift for your soon to be husband or wife? Capture that moment together! You´ll get to hear your partners voice and listen to their reaction and they get to do the same to you. This is a great way to calm the nerves before the ceremony a be together while still saving the big reveal for the ceremony!
Letter Reading
A private letter reading is one of my favorite ways to do a first look. Did you know you can do this option without seeing each other too? If you do not plan to turn around after reading the letter, you may want to consider reading your letter out loud to your partner. But seriously, do not let your makeup team leave before you read your letter! Trust me on that one! Another option to writing a letter is to read your personal vows to each other at this time. This is a great option especially if you have a professional videographer to capture these for you!

Whether you decide to see your fiance before or want to wait to see them at the wedding ceremony, there is an option for you! Capture and cherish as much of your wedding day and your love story as you can!
